Here is some advice
For young puppies
Puppy exercise
Puppies have different exercise needs, not only as their age progresses but also in relation to their physique and size. The old rule of increasing exercise by 5 minutes a month is not really adapted to puppies' individual needs. It's important for your puppy to move around to develop his musculoskeletal system and prevent subsequent injuries. But it's also important to make sure your puppy doesn't injure himself, as injuries can also damage his motor development. That's why I don't recommend motivating your puppy to play if he doesn't ask you to - fatigue being a major risk for injury! Appropriate exercise includes: going for walks, running, playing with other dogs, low-impact sports (no intense agility or chasing a ball until your dog has developed all his capacities). But give your puppy time to sleep as much as he wants before you ask him to exert himself again.
If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to ask me so I can give you some pointers!
The following document can also serve as a guideline for your puppy's development (be aware that slippery stairs, tiles or parquet pose a risk of slipping and then injury to your puppies and dogs, and that very small puppies are too small to negotiate stairs without injury)
